If you are checking out photographs of cosmetic dental work, here is one main tip for judging quality:
Crowns, bridges & veneers are made by dental technicians, so in a ‘smile makeover’ where you see photographs with lips covering the top part of the upper teeth, all you are seeing is the technician’s artistry, not the dentist’s.
Quality dentistry shows in the gum condition and form, so beware of any dentist who only shows the ‘after’ photographs with the lips covering the necks of the teeth and gums. A good cosmetic dentist will be proud to show you the entire smile showing gums, not just the bottom half of the teeth. (Check out how many ‘cosmetic’ dentists are only revealing the bottom halves of their work!)

All of our photographs are of genuine patients treated at this practice and all of our photographs have the lips retracted so that you can see the gums and all of our wonderful work.
We prefer to use the word aesthetic rather than cosmetic. This is because ‘cosmetic’ tends to indicate something that is false or synthetic, whereas aesthetic suggests something that is in harmony with nature.
Our dentists do not using marketing hype. We have credibility because we have undergone formal training, rigorous clinical examinations and a string of postgraduate qualifications. All of our dentists are lecturers, writers and examiners in their field and most are registered specialists. Also all of our nurses are qualified and registered. We believe that quality of care comes from a total managed approach. Do you? |
